How is the hishaku places for this kama in Urasenke?
It really depends on the kama and how high it is set in the ro. If it is a sunken mouth kata (uba-guchi), it get s set so that the hishaku is higher, i.e. on the shoulder. If it is a kama with an elevated mouth, the ladle is set inside. the real determinant is what is the final angle of the stem of the ladle with the mat.
- In a real ro you should be able to adjust the hight of the gotoku to make the kama be whatever height you desire.
